How to beat Enforcers in Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter

Treat named Society fights as Command Battle exams, not highway trash you mash in Quick Battle.

How to Beat Enforcers

Ouroboros Enforcers are the fights that punish a demo player who never left Quick Battle. Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter still lets you slash through roadside packs in real time. Named Society agents are a different exam. Falcom added Enforcer Boost, an advanced Rage Boost with a character-specific animation, and Brave Rush, a two-gauge partner combo in Quick Battle. This page is a method, not a leaked HP table. It will not walk the Liber Ark. For names and plot fences, use the Ouroboros roster. For buttons and gauges, use the combat system.

If you are still installing, read Getting Started. If you are in the trial, pair this with the demo walkthrough so Le Locle and the first Enforcer clash are not the same night.

Rule one: switch layers on purpose

Quick Battle is for movement, learning attack timing, and clearing highway packs. Command Battle is for Arts, crafts, positioning, and anything with a title. If the enemy has an Enforcer number, a Boost cinematic, or a name Falcom already printed (Campanella, Bleublanc, Walter, Luciola, Leonhardt), leave Quick Battle. Staying in the action layer because it feels modern is how you eat a Boost you did not respect.

Brave Rush spends two Brave Gauge points to pair the active character with a partner for a wide, high-damage strike. Bank those two points. Do not dump the gauge on the first roadside bee, then enter an Enforcer with an empty meter. Quartz still decides whether Estelle can heal, whether Anelace is only a sword, and whether you have a water line at all. That setup is the orbment guide, not a secret Enforcer mechanic.

What Enforcer Boost actually does

Official copy: Enforcer Boost is an advanced Rage Boost used by Ouroboros Enforcers. A character-specific animation plays, and the fight’s look can change. Treat it as a phase, not as a skippable intro. Heal before the animation, not during the first unblocked swing after it. If a cooking buff is running from Quick Battle, swapping into Command Battle keeps it for up to two turns. That is a real tool. It is not a reason to ignore Arts. Failed dishes that become Attack Food deal Command Battle damage without spending CP or EP. Save them for Boost windows, not for mint poms. Cooking details sit on side content.

Demo versus later Enforcers

The demo includes early Enforcer contact. It does not include every Society member on a select screen. Campanella (Enforcer No. 0) is the observer. Bleublanc, Walter, and Luciola are the named kit Falcom already showed. Leonhardt is the sword you already met as Lorence. Do not farm a late-game strategy off a two-minute trailer. Watch the showcase, then apply Command Battle, two gauges, and a seventh quartz slot. Party who is actually in the field is on party members. Kurt’s lodge at Le Locle is on the Liberl map.

Demo Version 1.00.2 (September 3, 2026) fixed S-Crafts sometimes failing to unlock after battle. If a craft you earned never appeared, patch first. That is not an Enforcer mechanic. Patch notes live on demo news.

A practical loop

  1. Clear the road in Quick Battle until the named fight starts.
  2. Switch to Command Battle before Boost, not after the first wipe.
  3. Spend Brave Rush when the partner is the one who actually covers the element you lack.
  4. Keep a water or heal line on Estelle or Schera; the party tier list is a ranking, not a substitute for a Tear art.
  5. Use Attack Food on the Boost turn if you have it.
  6. If you are under-leveled, leave, cook, fish, and return. The demo has no timer. Fishing and side content exist for that loop.

Hardware stutter is not a dodge window. System requirements cover Steam Deck 40–50 FPS reports. Pads: controls.

When September 17 arrives, the same rules scale. New Enforcers will still Boost. You will still need two gauges and a quartz line that is not a copy-pasted original-SC screenshot. Come back through the guides hub instead of a damage pastebin.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for demo players and anyone waiting on the September launch.

Should I fight Enforcers in Quick Battle?

No. Use Quick Battle for roads. Switch to Command Battle for named Society fights. The combat system explains both layers.

What is Enforcer Boost?

An advanced Rage Boost with a unique animation. Treat it as a phase. Names and plot fences are on Ouroboros.

How many Brave Gauge points does Brave Rush cost?

Two. Bank them. Partner choice still depends on who is actually in the party.

Does Attack Food help?

Yes in Command Battle, and it spends no CP or EP. Cooking is on side content.

Are all Enforcers in the demo?

No. Early contact only. The demo walkthrough and Liberl map show where that happens.

My S-Craft did not unlock after the fight.

Install demo 1.00.2. That patch fixed S-Crafts failing to unlock after battle. Notes are on demo news.
