Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter Pre-release tier lists

Demo party ranks and confirmed Arts — labeled provisional until September 17, 2026.

Tier List Hub

These lists are pre-release. Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter’s worldwide launch is September 17, 2026 (Steam storefronts may show September 16). The free demo covers the prologue through Chapter 1. Anything ranked here is a mix of that demo kit, official remake systems, and original Trails in the Sky SC roles. It is not a post-launch meta and it is not a datamine.

Open the two child pages and ignore anyone selling fake DPS. Party ranking grades who is worth quartz in the early field. Quartz and Arts grades confirmed Arts and the value of the seventh slot without pretending the full original-SC catalog has been confirmed for the remake.

What “tier” means on this wiki

S through C here means availability plus job identity, not a damage spreadsheet. Estelle is always present, so her floor is high even if her ceiling is “good at everything, best at nothing.” Anelace can look like an S-tier duelist at Le Locle and still be a specialist once later casters exist. Olivier can be an Arts monster in original SC and still be unrankable in your demo save because he is not in it.

We do not invent quartz names, Craft multipliers, or Enforcer HP. Confirmed remake Arts are Blue Ascension (Water), Sylpharion (Wind), Abyss Fall (Time), Lost Mobius (Space), and Zodiac (Mirage). Confirmed systems are Brave Rush (two Brave Gauge in Quick Battle), seven quartz slots, slot upgrades, and Enforcer Boost. That is the legal set. Everything else is labeled as original-SC context.

How to use the two lists

Play the demo first if you can. Then read party members so you know who is actually in the field. Then open the party tier list. If a favorite sits in B, that is usually an availability note, not an insult.

After that, read the orbment guide and the quartz list. The seventh slot is the remake’s loudest mechanical change from 1st Chapter’s six-slot boards. Slot it to finish an elemental line or to seat a support quartz you could not afford before. Do not park a duplicate Attack piece in the new hole because the menu had space.

Combat context lives on the combat system page. Enforcer Boost and the people who use it live on Ouroboros. Routing lives on the demo walkthrough and Getting Started.

When these grades should move

After September 17, expect the party list to shuffle once Kevin, later Casters, and Joshua’s field time are in public saves. Expect the quartz list to grow only when Falcom or the game itself shows more Arts and synthesis tiers. Until then, this hub is a planning board for the demo and for day-one orbment habits.

Dates sit on the release-date page. Demo notes sit on Updates: demo. Storefronts sit on links. Controls and PC specs sit on controls and system requirements.

Until that September window, treat both lists as planning tools, not gospel. Play the demo, note who you actually like, and let the full game rewrite the letter grades.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for demo players and anyone waiting on the September launch.

Are these rankings final?

No. They are pre-release and demo rankings that will move after September 17, 2026. Read the party list and the quartz list as planning notes, not as a locked meta.

Why is someone I like in B or C?

Usually availability. Later joiners cannot be S-tier in a demo save they are not in. Check party members for who actually appears in prologue through Chapter 1.

Do you publish damage numbers?

No. This wiki does not invent Craft multipliers or quartz catalogs. Confirmed Arts and slot rules are on the quartz page and the orbment guide.

Should I rank bosses too?

Not here. Enforcers are a fight type, not a playable tier. Use Ouroboros and the combat system for Enforcer Boost.

Where do I go after picking a team?

Route the demo with the demo walkthrough, then set quartz with the orbment guide. Dates live on the release-date page.
